Dr. Vimal Nakra graduated in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from prestigious Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College (GSVM), Kanpur in 1979. He post graduated in Internal Medicine from GSVM, Kanpur in 1984.
Since then, he has been actively involved in the field of Internal Medicine for the betterment of his patients. He is an Internal Medicine physician par excellence. With an experience of over 36 years, he has worked in the top medical centres in New Delhi.
He is currently the Associate Director and Unit Head at Max Super-speciality Hospital, Patparganj, Delhi since 2005. He is also a Visiting Consultant at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi since 1986. He has served as Senior Consultant with Deepak Memorial Hospital, Delhi from 1990 till 2005.
He has a special interest towards the management of Diabetes Mellitus, Cardiovascular Diseases, Hypertension and Thyroid Disorders.
